There is nothing like the stress of life to crimp any artistic aspiration. I was a win95 user, then win98 and finally winXP. Each time my budget made crunching sounds as I struggled to upgrade hardware and software. I stumbled upon Linux first, it was a hassle in the beginning, now it is totally wonderful. I played with Linux for 10 years and fully converted about 4 years ago. But the real find was Open Source Software and especially graphics applications that run on both MS and Linux. It is even better today because the video tutorial is king. You can learn by seeing and doing. A pretty cool site is:
