Frank Leon Roberts (592 hits)


Frank Leon Roberts is a Ford Fellow and former Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Social and Cultural Analysis at New York University (Spring 2009). He is one of 35 doctoral candidates in the United States to be a recipient of the 2009 Ford Foundation Dissertation Fellowship Award, the nation’s premiere scholarly appointment for minority students at the Ph.D. level. A vibrant public intellectual, he is a contributor to The Huffington Post, The Village Voice, and The San Francisco Chronicle. He holds a joint B.A. in English and African American Studies from NYU, as well as an M.A. from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is currently a Research Fellow in the African American Special Collections Division at Emory University’s Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library.
