I am having a delightful day and got plenty of rest, too. I wanted to, had to, share this latest brain food idea with you.
I was making food baskets the other night for my church. I ran out of bags and had to think of something quickly so I could deliver them to the church. Well, I reached for a tote bag I picked up from somewhere and dropped the last of the goodies into the bag. Whola~!
Praise God because as I purchased more goodies this morning for needy/vulnerable persons, I had an ephiphany. Ok, y'all ready? Ok, I just happened to have a few tote bags of my own that I offer to customers. Well, I used a few of those bags to hold the "goodies." But wait, I'm not finished. I then thought, why not include an autographed book in each bag of "goodies" for the needy!!!;)-
So, that effort netted a goal of making 25 food bags by Thanksgiving Day! That means I will sow a total of 25 books by Thanksgiving Day!
Ok, so here is the challenge...........set a goal to donate 25 food baskets to YOUR church for outreach and include an autographed book if you are published. Now, those who know me know I like to have fun doing all things so here's the exciting part: let us know how you are doing with this food drive. Let us all know if you stumble across an item to include in your food bag that is unique in some positive way. For example, I happened to have an extra brand new toothbrush with un-opened bubble gum-flavored toothpaste. Yep, you guessed it. It is now making some blessed child look forward to brushing his or her teeth. Halleluia ~ er!
Oh, how I just love these bright ideas of mine ......
