21st Hidden Glen Arts Festival starts Saturday (148 hits)

The Hidden Glen Arts Festival celebrates its 21st anniversary this year on Saturday and Sunday.

The arts event, which takes place on the grounds surrounding Shadow Lake in the Cedar Creek community, is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The festival is free and open to the public.

More than 90 national artists selected by jury will show original artwork. Favorite artists from previous years and newcomers will showcase their work at one of the Midwest’s largest outdoor art galleries.

In addition to the artwork, there will be music, children’s activities, art demonstrations and concessions.

The Hidden Glen Arts Festival, a non-profit organization, is supported by donations and a large number of volunteers, many who live and work in the Olathe area.

The Cedar Creek community is at Cedar Creek Parkway south of Kansas 10 in Olathe. For information about the festival visit www.hiddenglen.org or call 913-961-ARTS.
