A new art exhibit lets you be in control of the show.
Burlington artist Clark Derbes transformed the Firehouse Gallery on Church Street with colorful pieces you can detach from the wall and reattach in other places using Velcro.
"I want people to be as engaged as possible, and not just normal gallery goers-- adults. I want kids and adults, young, old, rich, poor, whoever-- to come in and experience the exhibit and interact with it," Derbes said.
Derbes says there's no right or wrong way to arrange his work.
The artist's wife has her own show in the Firehouse's other exhibit space. Wylie Sophia Garcia works in textiles, and says having two artists at home helps them bounce ideas off each other.
"I would say we're both very intense individuals. We love life, we love what we do-- it's great!" Sophia Garcia says.
The husband and wife team's work is on view through August 1 at the Firehouse Gallery.
